This course can be taken after completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification.
It is titled PADI Advanced Open Water Diver because it enhances your dive knowledge and skills.
The Advanced Course helps you get more out of diving by introducing you to new types of diving adventures.
It’s a great opportunity to work with your instructor to develop your diving techniques and gain more confidence.
This course consolidates what you’ve learned and develops new skills by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun diving.
You’ll polish your techniques by doing five adventure dives.
What you will learn:
- Underwater navigation
- Deep diving (typically anywhere between 18-30 metres/ 60-100 feet)
- A sampler of three adventure dives of your choice.
- Duration: Approximately 4 to 5 days.
During the deep adventure dive, you will learn how to plan dives to cope with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper diving. The underwater navigation adventure dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you to better navigate using kick cycles, visual landmarks and time.
The other knowledge and skills you gain vary depending on your interest and adventures: photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, wreck exploration and many more.
