Blue Tourism · More Than Diving

At Eco&Dive, we train our divers through the lens of marine conservation:

Every experience with us connects, educates, and transforms your relationship with the sea. Discover blue tourism in a responsible and conscious way — whether diving in Málaga or exploring the waters of La Herradura, Granada

Our Milestones

Conservation Projects

At Eco&Dive, we promote a form of blue tourism that helps people understand and protect the Alboran Sea. Since 2012, we have carried out research and conservation actions along the coast of Málaga to support the long-term protection of this unique marine environment.

Citizen Science

Citizen science is at the heart of Eco&Dive. We invite everyone who joins our experiences to actively participate through simple yet meaningful actions — such as following our marine routes and audio guides, helping collect any litter found during activities, and taking action against marine debris (#litteringnature)

Because protecting the ocean starts with small actions taken together.

Environmental Education

We believe in learning through direct experience. Our goal is for every diver to feel part of the habitat they visit — and for that experience to awaken a genuine passion for sustainability.

We actively promote responsible diving practices in an area of high ecological value, ensuring that enjoyment and conservation go hand in hand

Hope Spot Ambassadors – Alboran Sea

ECO&DIVE is a Hope Spot Champion of the Mission Blue Hope Spot in the Alboran Sea. After years of conservation work, environmental education, citizen science initiatives, and a
rigorous process of data collection and community support, the Alboran Sea was officially declared a Hope Spot in September 2018.

As ambassadors, we amplify the ecological value of this highly biodiverse region and work to ensure that protection translates into social awareness, local collaboration, and effective long-term conservation measures.

More Than Diving

Eco&Dive: Where Diving Becomes Awareness

Eco&Dive was born from a deep love for the sea and from the need to protect what gives us life. We are not just a diving school. We are a project that brings together experience, education, and conservation — with the Alboran Sea as our home and constant source of inspiration

Connect. Educate. Transform.

Our Origins

Eco&Dive was founded in Rincón de la Victoria, Málaga, with a clear vision: to bring people closer to the sea in a respectful, conscious, and transformative way. Since 2009, we have collaborated on marine conservation projects in the Alboran Sea. After years working underwater and closely observing changes in marine ecosystems, we understood that diving should not be just a leisure activity — it should be a tool for awareness and environmental protection. That is how this project began: uniting diving, education, and genuine commitment to the marine environment

A New Way of Diving

At Eco&Dive, we believe every dive is an opportunity to learn. Our activities go beyond teaching diving techniques — they promote:

Respect for Marine Biodiversity

We encourage a responsible relationship with the sea — observing without interfering and caring for every species and habitat we visit.

Understanding Local Ecosystems

We explore the Alboran Sea from within, discovering its species, ecological dynamics, and the value of its underwater landscapes

Responsible Underwater Practices

We dive with minimal impact: controlled buoyancy, zero contact, and safe, conscious behavior during every immersion

Emotional Connection with Nature

We aim for every experience to spark admiration and commitment, creating a genuine bond that inspires protection of what we love.

Commitment to Marine Conservation

Conservation is at the heart of Eco&Dive. We believe in a participatory, knowledge-based approach to protecting the ocean. We actively engage in:

  • Citizen science projects
  • Protection and monitoring of vulnerable species
  • Marine ecosystem restoration initiatives
  • Environmental awareness campaigns
  • International initiatives with Mission Blue — Hope Spot Alboran Sea & MPADay (as
    official ambassadors)
  • Marine Protected Areas advocacy
  • Beach clean-ups and marine litter collection and analysis

Education, Outreach & Inclusion

Making the sea accessible to everyone is part of our mission. Since 2015, we have developed:

  • Interpretative species guides
  • Initiatives to highlight lesser-known marine ecosystems along the Costa del Sol
  • Marine and terrestrial audio guides, with educational routes for all audiences
  • Underwater trail panels along the Costa del Sol (14 municipalities, Coastal Path project 2018)
  • Co-creators of the Alboran Sea Hope Spot with Mission Blue and Dr. Sylvia Earle
  • Citizen science campaigns (environmental workshops, beach clean-ups, marine litter analysis)
  • Diving instructors with more than 15 years of professional experience

Conscious Blue Tourism

We work to promote a tourism model that respects the marine environment while generating social value.

We collaborate with:

  • Public institutions
  • Educational centers
  • Social organizations
  • Companies committed to sustainability

We believe in tourism that educates, connects, and conserves.

Our Values

  • Respect for the marine environment
